Steamfitters Local #353, Peoria, Illinois

About Us

Steamfitters Local 353 began on June 10, 1911 with twenty-six members.  These twenty-six members had a vision of a strong union and a better life. Steamfitters Local 353 has one of the most highly trained and productive work forces.  The United Association, along with 353, is committed to training so we can stay ahead of the needs of our customers.

On September 7, 1998, Local 353 broke ground on their new, state of the art training center and office.  In 2011, Local 353 celebrated their 100th anniversary, and they are still growing strong.

Hayden Bailey, Steamfitters Local 353 Third Year Apprentice, was in a severe car accident on October 5.  His friends and family have designed this static ribbon as a fundraiser to assist with Hayden's medical expenses.  If you are interested in purchasing one, we have a supply at the union hall and they can be purchased for $10!  There has also been an account set up at South Side Bank in Chillicothe to help defray the costs of his ongoing medical treatment.  Donations can be sent to: South Side Bank, PO Box 259, Chillicothe, IL 61523

Steamfitters Local #353 is recognized at the Peoria Riverfront Museum, by this plaque!  Local 353 is a big supporter of the new museum.  Go check it out!
